Abso-frickin-lutely is an understatement.

Everyone should have the foundation of pitching the media at their fingertips. Whether you're a service provider or product creator, you should be able to call on the media when you launch something new, want to get your story out there, or just drum up some new street cred.

Please don’t! You’ll lose out on one of the biggest media opportunities you have, which is when you launch your brand for the first time. Your brand will never be “new” again and you’ll never be able to pitch *the new angle* to the media again if you lose out on this once-in-your-brand’s-lifetime opportunity.

Part of my launch strategy when I work with brands that are pre-launch is incorporating influencer partnerships, and influencers need to be pitched 2-3 months BEFORE you launch your brand. Otherwise, how will people (aside from your friends and family) know to buy your brand when it DOES launch? You don’t want to launch to crickets, do you?

Any beauty brand with industry veterans on their advisory board or who have investors backing them know to invest in PR as part of their launch strategy from Day -90 (3 months before) in order to capitalize on the launch of their brand and build momentum from Day 1. If you don’t have either (which many emerging brands don't), you are now privy to that knowledge as well.
Now it’s your chance to act on it. You can wait a couple of years to put your brand out there, or you can position yourself as a cult-status brand from the start. But to do that you need to know the fundamentals of pitching first. You need to know your story angles. You need to know how to build relationships with the media. And yes, you’ll learn all of this in the holiday gift guide media workshop.

Absolutely. If you understand the fundamentals of pitching, you can easily adjust and tweak your outreach and messaging based on the service you offer, the audience you’re serving and the end result you want to get. Much of what I will be teaching can be applied beyond beauty, so if you’re a wellness coach, a nutritionist, a medical professional, a makeup artist, and beyond, this workshop will serve you well.

I have worked with service providers one-on-one (and am one myself), however, many of the examples I will be sharing in our workshop will be product related. If you let me know in advance what your service is, I’ll be sure to incorporate an example just for you.

Well then you’re probably already landing all your pitches and garnering placements in your dream media outlets and partnerships with influencers, so you definitely don’t need it.

But I will say, even if you’re already a media pitching pro, there’s always a new spin or the way that someone teaches the material (and the insider info) that can help the lightbulb go off on a simpler or better process. Sometimes it only takes one golden nugget to move the needle in your business

This is one of my favorite questions because the beauty (pun intended) of the news is that there’s always something newsworthy, and there’s always a way to link your brand or product to a new trend, current event, season or holiday. Case in point, I recently landed a placement for a client in Elle Magazine and the product is 8 years old. If you have a quality product, we can find an angle that will make it current to the media.
